I love the entire look and feel of this photo. It was last autumn when I snapped a shot of the new-used Baroque-inspired sofa and chaise set that Mark and I found at the local Good Will store. We'd happened upon this set and instantly fell in love with it. It was completely different from all the other sofa sets we'd seen, with its rich crimson and olive-gold chenille patterned material and carved mahogany wood frame. Seeing as we're aiming to decorate our living room in a more antique-y style (actually, we're trying for the "Pirate's Den" look), it fit in perfectly with the current decor. (And price-wise, it was a steal, literally!)
Yeti had just entered the living room so I decided to snap the photo with her in it, and in doing so, captured a strange, other-worldly feel to the setting, with a cool double-exposure of her and a surreal quality and color to the living room as a whole. In the background, to the left of the staircase, in the hall mirror you can see a green glow, which is the reflection of my green and purple art studio. Way cool, dudes and dudettes!
Of August Raindrop Candlelight & Garden Delights

August sublime... With raindrop symphonies and droplets on windows. After
the heat of July, the moody weather of August has been a dream. Big fluffy
clouds...
